These 12 questions are listed in the  frequency by which they are asked

1. Is MDVIP a concierge medical practice?

A. No.

• Concierge practices are cash only
• We are a membership-only practice
• We work with most major insurances companies and Medicare
• The $2,200 annual fee is in addition to having health insurance

2. Does Dr. Coker or  anyone in the office speak Spanish?

A. No.

3. Do you prescribe ADD/ADHD meds for MDVIP patients?

A. Yes. We prescribe the following meds:

ADD/ADHD 

• Adderall/Amphetamine salts 
• Focalin/Dexmethylphenidate
• Ritalin/Concerta/Metadate/Daytrana/Methylphenidate 
• Strattera/Atomoxetine 
• Vyvanse/Lisdexamfetamine 

If you have never been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD

• Your initial visit must be in our office
• Monthly televisits will follow until you are stable
• Every 3 months thereafter you will need an in-office visit

4. Do you refill ADD/ADHD meds for MDVIP patients?

A. Yes

• Please bring all your medical records
• Your initial visit must be in our office
• A televisit one month later will follow to make sure you are stable
• Every 3 months thereafter you will need an in-office visit

5. Do you prescribe pain meds for MDVIP patients?

A. As per Florida law we can only prescribe acute pain meds for 3 days.

They include the following:

PAIN MEDS 

• Codeine
• Demerol 
• Dilaudid 
• Hydrocodone 
• Hydromorphone 
• Meperidine 
• Morphine 
• Oxycodone 
• Oxycontin 
• Percocet 
• Tramadol 
• Ultracet 
• Ultram 

 If you require meds for chronic pain we will refer you to a pain specialist

6. Do you offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis also known as PrEp? 

A. Yes.

7. Where do I go for my lab work?

A. Labs are done in our office during your visit.

8. Do you offer same-day or next-day office visit?

A. Yes. 

• If you call before 12 noon we can see you that afternoon
• If you call us after 12 noon we can offer you a next day visit
• Please note: The office is closed Saturday and Sunday
• However as an MDVIP member you have access to Dr. Coker 24/7

9. Do you offer same-day Tele Medicine?

A. Yes. 

However, there are occasions when you must have an in-office visit instead. They include:

• Abnormal Follow-up visits - When extra labs are needed
• Blood work and urine tests
• Injuries
• PrEP (In-office testing is necessary)
• Pre-Operative screening
• Refills on medications when labs are needed
• Yearly Physicals

10. Does your practice require face masks?

A. No. But the following restrictions do apply:

Our Staff

• For your protection we always wear one

Healthy Patients

• Do not have to wear them

Elderly and Immunocompromised Patients

• If your immune system is not efficient 

• We have disposable masks at our front desk

Patients With Cold-Like Symptoms

•  We will provide you with one

• Please wear it for the duration of your visit   

11. Why do patients have to call from the same phone number that is on their medical chart?

A. To make sure your information is not given to someone pretending to be you.

12. Can I give my husband/wife/significant other/parent and or secretary full authority over my medical records and be able to schedule appointments for me?

A. No.
